Activity Objectives:

Discuss delivering health and medical care including life-saving interventions during extreme duress and scarce resource conditions in Ukraine.

Describe clinical and public health services delivery impact and response including scarce resource utilization, addressing gaps in education and training, collaborative integration of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), community medical support, and local healthcare infrastructure in Ukraine.

Identify direct reports from providers implementing lessons learned and novel approaches to address the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine including gender-based violence and children.

Target Audience:

All Health Professionals who may have a role in Disaster Health, e.g., Physicians, Registered Nurses, EMTs, Dentists, Pharmacists, Public Health Professionals, academic researchers, students, administrators of private and public enterprise involved in disaster response.

Medicine (CME) Accreditation Statement:

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Accreditation Requirements and Policies of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) through the joint-providership of the Westchester Academy of Medicine and the Society for Disaster Medicine and Public Health. The Westchester Academy of Medicine is accredited by MSSNY to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians. The Westchester Academy of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
