10 Years On: Building the Discipline of Disaster Medicine and Public Health

Conference sessions examined the effects of disasters on vulnerable populations focusing on:

  • Climate change and disaster response
  • Conflict medicine and population health
  • Artificial intelligence, decision aids and equipment, and their effect on mass casualty incident response
  • Disaster medicine education, training, and competencies which are culturally and geographically relevant
  • Mental health

The CME and CNE are for the Monday, Dec 4 and Tuesday, Dec 5 program only.

Medicine (CME) Accreditation Statement

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Accreditation Requirements and Policies of the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) through the joint-providership of the Westchester Academy of Medicine and the Society for Disaster Medicine and Public Health. The Westchester Academy of Medicine is accredited by MSSNY to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians.
